Medical Equipment

In the ward area, as well as architectural ironmongery, sanitary fittings, electrical switches and ward furniture, there are many other touch surfaces which are potential reservoirs of infection and would be candidates for substitution with an uncoated copper or copper alloy component. Research from the US indicates that the surfaces closest to the patient are the most highly contaminated.

Components which have been supplied to a clinical trial are indicated with installed in a clinical trial.
