Interpolation table for conversion from degrees Celsius to degrees Fahrenheit

Use of interpolation tables

When conversion is required for a value which is not contained in the conversion table, the interpolation tables are used.

Example: convert 2 327.5°C to °F.

From the conversion table, it is found that 2 320°C = 4 208°F

From the interpolation table, it is found that 7.5°C = 13.50°F (at intersection between row 7 and column 0.5).

Hence, 2 327.5°C = (4 208 + 13.50) °F = 4 221.50°F
